The Granary
is the modernised wing of the farmhouse on a family Dairy Farm founded
in 1836. The Granary offers Bed and Breakfast at a high standard
and is included in the Which 'Good Bed and Breakfast Guide'.
We have four
rooms to offer - one double en suite, two twin ensuite and one family.
The Granery is tastefully furnished, has a large garden, ample parking
and a play area in the orchard which can be seen from the lounge/diner.
The farmhouse
stands in 10 acres on one side of a country lane, with the farm
on the other side, so it is very safe for children and dogs to roam
freely.
The Granary
is situated in unique countryside in the Heart of England, and the
farm is bordered by 1300 acres of ambient woodland, in which the
Forestry Commission have routed walks, together with a large lake
for coarse fishing.
The Daffodil
Way is a 10 mile walk and crosses the farm on it's way to Dymock,
which has two more routed walks named The Poet's Walks, named after
the Great War Poets, Frost, Abercrombie and Thomas who lived in
the village for a time.
The village
of Kempley is World famous for its Churches, one Norman with historic
mural frescoes, the other an early 20th century Church, built entirely
by local craftsmen in the style of William Morris at the height
of the Arts & Crafts Movement. We have "Art
Imagination", a studio running air brushing courses
Within a 5 mile
radius there are three 18 hole Golf Courses, one including a driving
range and a 9 hole par 3 course, a farm producing Gloucester Cheese,
2 Cider Factories, a Glass making Factory, a Victorian Street Museum,
The National Birds of Prey Centre where they breed and fly the rare
species and 2 vineyards.
Situated only
two and half miles from junction 3 of the M50, there are many places
to visit; Eastnor and Goodrich Castles; Gloucester and Hereford
Cathedrals and Tewkesbury Abbey; the Cider Museum in Hereford; the
Historic Docks and The Beatrice Potter Museum in Gloucester; the
Market Towns of Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye and Newent central to the Cotswolds;
Wye Valley; Forest of Dean; Malvern Hills and Wales.
The Granary
has much to offer the holiday maker who appreciates natural beauty.
The area can
also boast some excellent eating houses from simple country pubs
to sophisticated restaurants. All diets can be
catered for and our Big Breakfasts, as featured in "Which Good
B&B Guide", are not to be missed. Evening meal not
available
