Lowerfield Farm
offers genuine farmhouse comfort and hospitality in a late 17th
century Cotswold stone farmhouse which has been extensively
modernised
over the years.
The farm is
situated three miles from the picturesque village of Broadway, one
mile from Willersey village, and four miles from both Evesham and
the old wool market town of Chipping Campden.
Bedrooms are
spacious and elegantly furnished with panoramic views and en suite
bathrooms. All rooms have clock radios, remote control colour TV,
hair dryers and tea and coffee making facilities. One room is situated
on the ground floor for guests who find the stairs difficult, whilst
another has a king sized bed with a single bed and is suitable as
a family room. An extra bed and/or cot is available for larger families.
Ewes and lambs,
working sheep dogs, horses and ponies all form part of the environment.
Breakfast:
Full English breakfast may either be taken in the dining room or
in the farmhouse kitchen.
Evening meals:
A three course evening meal with coffee may be taken by arrangement
or there is a wealth of excellent eating houses nearby.Guidance
and recommendations regarding restaurants will be given with pleasure.
Reservations are often required and may easily be made by us on
your behalf.
What to see
and do;
Walking: There
are many circular walks of varying lengths available nearby and
The Cotswold Way begins at Chipping Campden (the route is 50 miles
and takes you to Bath if you are feeling energetic) There is a large
selection of maps and guide books for you to borrow. Cycling: Cycle
hire is available locally and we have maps of cycle routes.
Horse Riding:
Excellent stables half a mile away. Golf: Broadway Golf Club with
panoramic views across several counties two miles away. By Car:
Wealth of guide books to borrow.
Places to
visit: There are too many to mention but a few might be National
Trust properties such as Snowshill Manor, Hidcote Gardens, or Charlcote
Park. Interesting buildings: Ragley Hall, Broadway Tower, Castles
such as Sudely and Warwick. Towns such as Stratford on Avon, and
Cheltenham would be thirty minutes drive away, Stow on the Wold,
fifteen minutes. Oxford and Worcester would be a little further.
