This converted
barn is part of our family working cotswold farm above a truly stunning
valley in which the picture post-card villages of Duntisbourne Abbotts,
Duntisbourne Leer and Duntisbourne Rous are located.
Even in the
cotswolds a ford is a rare sight. The Duntisbournes have two, crossing
the tiny Dunt brook. Here white ducks are occaionally disturbed
by a passing car or tractor. It is just a short walk to the tiny
Saxon church at Duntisbourne Rous.
You can be sure
of a warm welcome. Relax after your journey with tea and cake in
front of a blazing log fire. In the summer you may prefer to sit
in the garden and admire the thirty mile view over fields and woods.
The farm is mixed arable and beef with a breeding flock of sheep.
Roman Cirencester,
the capital of the Cotswolds, is a ten minute drive. Market days
are Monday and Friday with a farmer's market on the first and third
Saturdays in each month.
Regency Cheltenham
is a fifteen minute drive. Many visitors stay with us for Badminton,
Gatcombe and Cheltenham races. Riding and Fishing can be enjoyed
within a 20 minute drive. You may wish to venture further to Slimbridge
(wildfowl), Berkeley castle or Westonbirt Arboretum. It is a beautiful
and gentle walk to a number of excellent local pubs.
