Blackwell Grange,
built in the 17th century, is situated in fields on the northern
edge of the Cotswolds.
It is still a
farm: a flock of pedigree sheep graze the fields, and free ranging
Wyandotte bantams. Both regularly win at agricultural shows around
the country.
The area is one of
outstanding natural beauty, dotted with golden stone Cotswold
villages including Snowshill, Chipping Campden, the Swells and the
Slaughters.
You can leave cars behind to walk the
“Centenary Way”, Stanton, Stanway and Broadway Tower or roam the
bridleways. Bring your own horse if you like, we do B & B for
horses too! Within a time radius of well under an
hour are all sorts of other attractions: theatre at
Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick with its castle, National Trust gardens
at Hidcote Manor, Kiftsgate Court, Upton House, Batsford Arboretum
and many more near by, golf at “The Belfry” and the National
Exhibition Centre.
We are surrounded by an extensive network
of footpaths and bridleways making it a wonderful area for guests to
explore the countryside, or visit the many gardens e.g., Kiftsgate,
Hidcote, Upton House, Coughton Court to name but a few. Visit
Shakespeare's birthplace and the theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon only
7 miles away with Warwick Castle 10 miles away.
There
are some very good restaurant/pubs in the adjoining villages.
Garden Cottage
Bedrooms are on the ground floor while upstairs an excellent
